Tern sits on the first floor of an art deco building, in a unique location at the end of Worthing Pier – and when the tide draws in, you'll feel like you're on an ocean liner. It has a clean, contemporary feel, with an open kitchen dominating the room. Ingredient-led cooking is the order of the day, using a mixture of modern and classical techniques, while desserts like apple, caramel and buttermilk are a highlight. The short selection of English wines, nearly all available by the glass, cements their credentials in supporting producers along the south coast.
