Description
The traditional Japanese izakaya has found a home in the London dining scene, thanks to this trendy modern take on the concept. The chic, minimalist setting provides a good backdrop for imaginative dishes that combine British produce with Japanese techniques, like British beef used in the short rib donabe to share. The original streak extends to the desserts, where the approach is somewhat reversed by traditional western dishes such as tarte Tatin and English trifle being reimagined with Japanese flavours like miso, shiso and sake.
