Description
There’s an air of relaxed conviviality at this charmingly rustic restaurant, which sits in the former smokehouse – beside the kitchen garden – in the grounds of Hampton Manor; in summer, ask to sit in the greenhouse. The food here celebrates seasonal produce, with cooking over coals the order of the day. On first sight, dishes may appear to be simple, but they have a hidden creativity and a host of bold, punchy flavours. The small wine list offers some interesting natural, biodynamic and even orange wines.
