L'avis du Guide Michelin
At the turn of the 21st century, this historic building transformed into a fine dining haunt that has served the city well ever since. On a corner of Tchoupitoulas Street, glittery chandeliers and wax candles light up a handsome, stately room anchored by white tablecloths, large windows, exposed brick, and dark wood finishes. Indeed, countless birthdays and anniversaries pass through this dining room year after year. A Louisiana native, Chef Corey Thomas steers the ship, highlighting regional ingredients and bringing contemporary touches to Creole cuisine. Think gnocchi with jumbo lump crab or a pithivier stacked with collard greens and chanterelles and finished in a Creole mustard sauce. Friendly servers keep the room from ever feeling too starchy.
