The old mill next to the palace, Schloss Alme, has been lovingly restored and is an appealing restaurant that abounds with rustic charm. Diners are invited to discover cuisine at the crossroads where "Sauerland meets Austria", courtesy of a menu that features seasonal dishes from the regional repertoire as well as classic fare from the chef's native Austria. The menu features dishes such as "Almer trout meunière" and Viennese fried breaded chicken with potato and cucumber salad. Head for the lovely terrace in fine weather. There are also guestrooms for an overnight stay.
