Welcome to The Benjamin House, a historic building just a short 400 metre walk from Riga Old Town and right next to the peaceful Vērmane Garden. The building once belonged to the famous Latvian press queen Emilija Benjamina and her husband in the 1920s-1930s, and it still carries the atmosphere and elegance of that era, inspired by Florence Renaissance architecture. Today, the historic character of the house is thoughtfully blended with modern styles and contemporary art, creating a space where past and present meet. The Benjamin House is not only a hotel but also a cultural venue that hosts a variety of events, including concerts, theatre performances, conferences, weddings and many other gatherings. Historically, the house itself was always intended as a place for hosting events and bringing people together, and today we continue that tradition. Within the house you will also find The Benjamin House Bar, open from Wednesday to Saturday, where guests and locals can enjoy drinks in a relaxed historic setting. Our hotel offers 60 rooms where classic interior elements mix with modern comfort, including air conditioning and Smart TVs. Guests can also stay in the special suite where Emilija Benjamina herself once lived, offering a unique connection to the building’s past. The Benjamin House operates as a self check in hotel with no on site reception. Guests receive their access instructions in advance and can check in independently at any time.
